Com manifesta alegria se comunica que hoje, pela vigília da Festa de São João Baptista, Precursor de Cristo e véspera do aniversário do nascimento de São Frei Nuno de Santa Maria Álvares Pereira, os representantes legais da Associação Ordem de São Miguel da Ala - OSMA (associação instituída civilmente) e da Real Irmandade da Ordem de São Miguel da Ala (associação de fiéis Canonicamente Erecta); e demais entidades parceiras envolvidas neste processo, encontraram-se em Sede de Justiça onde foi proposto pelos responsáveis da Cúria e Secretária-geral da Federação R.I.S.M.A., a celebração de um acordo de pacificação entre ambas instituições que há décadas se encontram envolvidas em processos legais sobre questões de marcas e patentes. Uma longa e penosa batalha judicial que tem esgotado as partes envolvidas.
Nesta conformidade, as partes reconhecem ser necessário, para bem da paz e da dignidade, chegar primeiro a um acordo de sã coexistência e de colaboração mútua no que diz respeito à açção cultural e social de ambas as instituições que reivindicam tradições históricas, simbólicas e de culto lusófono a São Miguel.
Como sinal de aceitação deste Acordo de Pacificação, Nuno da Câmara Pereira, ofereceu a sua gravata com as insígnias históricas da Ordem que o Senhor D. Manuel António Mendes dos Santos, Capelão Geral da Federação R.I.S.M.A. benzeu invocando o glorioso Arcanjo designado pelos Reis de Portugal como Anjo Custódio da Nação e Anjo da Paz, para que interceda no Acordo que vai resultar numa Reunião de Reconciliação Prévia aceite por D. Duarte de Bragança no dia 6 de Julho de 2023 e que terá como Moderador designado pelo Tribunal, o Bispo Emérito de São Tomé e Príncipe.
Pede-se a oração de todos os membros de ambas as organizações para que rezem a São Miguel e São Nuno, pela reconciliação de todos e para que o Acordo de São Miguel possa vir a ser implementado, a partir de 29 de Setembro de 2023, Festa do Arcanjo e dia da implementação da Reforma da Ordem e da Real Irmandade anunciada aquando da abertura do Ano Jubilar concedido pelo Santo Padre em 2020.
SAINT MICHAEL PACIFICATION OF RELATIONS AGREEMENT
It is with great joy that we announce that today, on the eve of the Feast of Saint John the Baptist, Precursor of Christ and the eve of the anniversary of the birth of Saint Friar Nuno de Santa Maria Álvares Pereira, the legal representatives of the Association Ordem de São Miguel da Ala - OSMA (a civilly instituted association) and of the Royal Brotherhood of the Order of São Miguel da Ala (an association of the faithful Canonically Erecta); and other partner entities involved in this process, met at the seat of Justice where it was proposed by those responsible for the Curia and Secretary General of the R.I.S.M.A. the celebration of a peace treaty between both institutions who have been involved in decades long trademark and patent issues. A long and painful legal battle that has exhausted the parties involved.
Accordingly, the parties recognize that it is necessary, for the sake of peace and dignity, to first reach an agreement for a healthy coexistence and mutual collaboration with regard to the cultural and social action of both institutions that claim historical, symbolic and cultural traditions of lusophone cult to Saint Michael.
As a sign of acceptance of this Pacification Agreement, Nuno da Câmara Pereira, offered his tie with the historical insignia of the Order that D. Manuel António Mendes dos Santos, General Chaplain of the R.I.S.M.A. blessed invoking the glorious Archangel designated by the Kings of Portugal as Guardian Angel of the Nation and Angel of Peace, to intercede in the Agreement that will result in a Prior Reconciliation Meeting accepted by D. Duarte de Bragança on July 6, 2023 and which will have as Moderator appointed by the Court, the Bishop Emeritus of São Tomé and Príncipe.
All members of both organizations are asked to pray to Saint Michael and Saint Nuno, for the reconciliation of all and for the implementation of the Saint Michael Agreement, as of September 29, 2023, Feast of the Archangel and day of the implementation of the Reform of the Order and of the Royal Brotherhood announced at the opening of the Jubilee Year granted by the Holy Father in 2020.
